Sting was wonderful
We went to see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Sarah Jarosz perform at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia, not sure what exactly to expect. The performance was spectacular, along with stories he told, including a song he dedicated to the Gulf oil spill victims. The conductor of the orchestra was great also and a pleasure to watch. The female singer they had with them was also great, she has a beautiful voice. It was nice to see Sting show such appreciation for the performers, acknowledging a soloist each time they played. You could tell the audience loved the performance, as everyone was on their feet in ovation, dancing in their seats and in the aisles. His vocals sound as good today as they did in the beginning of his career. We were big fans of Stings back when he was with the Police. They came back for at least three encores, and the final encore was the best just hearing Sting sing a beautiful song a cappella. What a treat it was to see this concert. Well worth it.
